Thank you to all the volunteers who poured hundreds of hours into planning and preparing for this year’s Confirmation Retreat. It was a meaningful and life-changing experience for the Confirmandi. Thank you to all the volunteers who were onsite during the weekend, whether you were there for a few hours or the entire weekend. We couldn’t have done it without each and every one of you! Thank you for sharing your time and talents in this ministry.
The U.S. Catholic Conference of Bishops defines youth ministry as a “response of the Christian community to the needs of young people and the sharing of the unique gifts of youth with the larger community.” Youth ministry is about relationships to each other, to the Church community and to Jesus Christ.

Youth ministry is about developing healthy relationships with God and the Church community. In order to promote healthy relationships and maintain a proper 8 to 1 ratio for safe environment, class sizes will be limited based on the number of SE cleared volunteers. Opportunities for volunteer involvement range from a few hours occasionally to team teaching a session or leading a small group discussion. We provide training and support for the job God calls you to do.
Our youth ministry program is guided by the USCCB’s document Renewing the Vision: A Framework for Catholic Youth Ministry and the Life Teen ministry program.
Life Teen was launched as a parish-based youth ministry in Mesa, AZ focused on the Mass and gathering teens together at a Life Night. We continue to be focused on bringing teens to Christ in the Eucharist and gathering them to be formed in the Roman Catholic faith. As a Eucharist-centered movement within the Roman Catholic Church, Life Teen leads teenagers and their families into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ and His Church. With the Blessed Virgin Mary as our intercessor and guide, Life Teen seeks to unleash the fullness of the Sacramental power present within the young Church.
