Formation

St. Joseph Catholic Church values the importance of the formation of our youth and ongoing formation of parents who are the first educators in the ways of faith for their child. Through partnership with parents, our parish can fulfill our Lord’s command to teach, sanctify, and lead the next generation of Catholics!

Components of Formation for Grades K-6

Formation occurs on Wednesdays from 6:30-8:00 PM on the parish grounds. There are three fundamental components:

  • On the first and second Wednesdays of the month, Catholic Formation instructs youth and parents based on a formation process developed over 30 years ago and successfully implemented across the United States.

  • On the third Wednesday of the month, Pange Lingua provides a spiritual oasis to connect parishioners more intimately with the Eucharistic Christ. There will be Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and the opportunity for confession. In addition, a meal is provided for all who attend.

  • On the fourth Wednesday of the month, Family Focus brings families together to deepen their bonds with the Lord and one another by growing in the faith through fun interactive and intergenerational activities.

These components provide wholesome formation that encompasses the intellectual, spiritual, and social dimensions.
